Hope you are all having a fun summer and enjoying some golf. Are you ready for another PGA TOUR season to begin? Well, you better be as it starts September 12th in West Virginia for A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier, just two weeks after Rory McIlroy hoisted the FEDEXCUP. I am pleased to say that I will be part of the team calling the action for PGA TOUR LIVE to get the season going. If you don’t have your subscription yet, go to here.

My golf season consisted of just three PGA TOUR events and sadly ended on a DQ, the first time I can recall that happening. I had to call myself out when I realized before the final round of the Barracuda Championship that I was using a green reading book that was non-conforming to the new 2019 rules. I wish I had realized it on Wednesday before I teed off, but I was at least happy with my golf up to that point. Not playing full time, I tried to keep my game in shape at home, playing in our club’s member-member tournament and often with my wife and kids. It felt better than expected at the Barbasol, where I was playing solidly until a few bogeys late on Friday sent me packing. In Reno at the Barracuda, a second round 68 (7 points) made it feel like it was coming together.

If my number gets in this Fall, which is highly unlikely, you will see me compete. You can, however, mark it down that I will be playing in January 2020 at the newly named The American Express, where I won in 2012. This is the old Bob Hope tournament that takes place in La Quinta, CA. So exciting for this event to get a title sponsor—thank you American Express.

Check me out every Wednesday on Twitter (@markwilsongolf) as I post a fun video talking about golf and beyond. I had a super fun time last week taping a segment with my son’s tackling me as I wore my Cheesehead in Chicago.

Tune in to PGA TOUR LIVE to watch and listen to myself and the broadcast team this week and in three weeks for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.

Have a fantastic Fall.
